A Swan is Born

The Swan, the most elegant, royal creature, yet so tender and quiet. It floats on the calm water, but when the darkness falls, the majestic swan is touched by evil.
Or the story of the princess who was cursed to an eternal life as a swan. There are so many stories about swans, but I love them all. I have to admit the movie Black Swan captivated me, and made me love swans and ballerinas even more! And Nathalie Portman of course.

A few days ago I went to a fashion show (the theme was bridal wear) at Emil & Samuel, and took this picture of three of the models while they were dancing down the runway. Adoreable!

Shades of blue

First, the image size annoys me, and I can't figure out how to fix it. If you read this, Mikael, remind me to ask you to help me with it.
Anyway, this is a outfit I wore to an event at Steen & Strøm. It consists of different shaed of blue, toned down with a black cardigan and shoes, along with accessories in gold.
Quite summer-ish, but still warm, because it was a bit windy outside. I wish my style was more simple, but I keep falling for patterns, embroidery and blue. Blue is my favorite color along with black and green. The summer just getting started, so I'll probably change my outfit from simple to much several times.

a house is not a home

My God, think that I haven't blogged since my birthday. What a shame, but after all I have been busy with my exams. Thought I'd post a picture of an outfit I wore last time I was home, a white blazer from H & M combined with leather and a navy blue Hillier bag from my favorite designer Marc Jacobs. Simple and clean. Actually, I can't decide if I like the white look or the color blocking trend more this season. I'll post more pics and blog lots more when Mikael teach me how to enlarge the images without the quality of the images getting fucked up.

Fantaisie

Fantaisie. This is the word that glitters in metallic font on the cover of the March issue of French Vogue. And the whole issue is certainly a bit of a fantasy, with the model Saskia de Brauw on the front and hours of inspiration on the inside.Perfect with a fantastically tasty blueberry muffin. I had a great birthday. My friends gave me pastries, wine, make-up and magazine, also called a survival kit.

Jil Sander Spring 2011 RTW

Photo:Marcio Madeira/firstVIEW

If you thought white was bland, think again. The Jil Sander spring collection consisted of the basic colors white and black, combined with electric neon colors in shades of blue, pink, yellow and green. Dramatic volume on skirts and trousers, big statement glasses, huge jackets and loose blazers. So clean, yet so colorful and exsplosive. I especially liked the simple white t-shirt combined with a pink, wide skirt. The models' hair was combed back in a ballerina hair bun. Their lips was painted neon pink, and their skin were flawless and porcelain-like. Lovely! A nice combination of the 80's color palette and clean modernity.

A criminal mind

You might not find it surprising that a criminology student uses the night to watch Criminal Minds. Nerdy as I am, I have come to the season 6 now, and was actually intrigued by epiosde thirteen's Bonnie and Clyde approach. It's about a couple who satisfies each other by committing mass murder in gas stations and other public places. I also have a crush on Dr Reid. We could read the behavioral theories and studying homicide figures together for breakfast. that's amore!

Paris, Je t'aime

Si je me réveille à Paris... It's a while since I was in Paris, but the city lives on in my memory. City of Paris, at first glance, it's totally amazing, breathtaking, nostalgic, memorable, cultural and beautiful. On the other hand, the city is gothic, evil and destructive. It is not that surprising, as the city carries the most wonderful and also most tragic events in the history of Europe. But no matter how cruel the City of Romance is, I know at least that when I went down the Seine River, enjoyed the view of the city from the Eiffel Tower and relaxed at a cafe after walking the city in my ballerinas, I realized something: Paris is the city for me. A kind of home, but not quite. Because home is boring, a home requires so much of you. Maybe a place to stay, big enough for my dreams. And no, I have not taken any meds today.
